Phil Joannides

Phil was born in Nicosia on the fourteenth of December nineteen-ninety-seven, at ten-to-eight in the evening.

When he was seventeen he had a mystical experience which compelled him to begin painting.

He had the good fortune to study at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art, receiving direct transmission from many powerful artists: Kuba Ambrose, Amanda Sage, Daniel Mirante, Li Lian Kolster, Oleg Korolev, Autumn Skye Morrison, Jonathan Solter, Lucy Hardy, and Stefan Lucas Allen (to name a few) had a profound positive influence on his creative process.

Now based in Nicosia, he exhibits regularly, teaches and live-paints at events.

Ivan Tamas

My name is Iván Tamás, a visual artist working in animation, illustration, and art education.

I graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest with degrees in Media Design and Animation. Over the past decade I have worked in various creative roles in the animation industry while also teaching and mentoring in the arts.

My practice explores the invisible layers of human experience — inner journeys, memory, and transformation — through detailed, symbolic imagery. After spending one and a half years in Cyprus, I recently returned to Budapest, where I continue developing my visual language and artistic practice.

Ioanna Charalampous

As a multimedia designer working at the intersection of creative technologies and social innovation, I strive to craft experiences that are both visually compelling and socially meaningful. My practice blends aesthetics with impact, using design as a tool to inspire, connect, and transform. Specializing in creative technology, visual communication, and design for social innovation, I explore the emotional and cultural power of technology to create projects that invite reflection, spark dialogue, and foster community. For me, design is not just about form or function—it’s about making a difference, one thoughtful project at a time.

Elpida Matsentidou

Elpida discovered her passion for fine arts at a young age. Having studied in Greece, she has continued to evolve her practice through varied approaches and materials. Her work engages with patterns that shift and transform through repetition, where the familiar dissolves into the unexpected. Her meditative practice exists in the space between structure and movement, embracing quiet change as part of an endless flow.

Elena Anastasiou

Elena Anastasiou Neocleous is a Cyprus-based visual artist, abstract expressionist, and educator whose work explores stillness, memory, and the psychological effects of contemporary life.

Through layered abstraction and atmospheric depth, her paintings evoke contemplation and emotional resonance. Often collaborating with musicians, she creates multisensory experiences that blur the boundaries between sound, image, and perception. Elena holds a BA in Business Management from Kingston University and an MA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts. She has presented several solo exhibitions and teaches at T.I.M.E. Private Institute in Cyprus.

Katerina Stavrou

Katerina Stavrou is a contemporary visual artist based in Larnaca, Cyprus. She began her academic journey in 2007, studying “Visual Arts” at the University of Salford, and later graduated with distinction in “Fine Art” (BA Hons) from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2011. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a course in “Art Criticism” at Central Saint Martins, and participated in a mentoring program at Debut Contemporary Art Platform in London. In 2019, Stavrou gained a Master’s degree in “Cultural Policy and Development” from the Open University of Cyprus. In 2025 she followed the “Curating Contemporary Art and Design: Theory and Practice” course, at the Royal College of Art. Stavrou has exhibited widely, participating in numerous international art fairs and group exhibitions across the US, UK, UAE, Europe, and Japan. To date, she has held four solo exhibitions. Her artworks belong to the Cyprus Public Art Collection, the Larnaca Municipal Art Collection, several corporate collections, and numerous private collections internationally. She has recipient a public art commission in Cyprus, awarded through a national competition. Stavrou has been appointed by the Ministry of Culture on the Advisory Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Cyprus, 2025.

Natali Touloupou

Natali is a graphic designer, embroiderer, and textile artist, as well as the founder of Gridra, a project dedicated to redefining traditional handicrafts through digital media and craftsmanship.

She has participated in numerous exhibitions, showcasing her research and creative work, including the “Homo Faber Fellowship” at Milan Design Week 2025, supported by the Michelangelo Foundation and Jaeger-LeCoultre, as well as the Larnaca Biennale 2025. Natali currently serves as a board member of the Cyprus Association of Graphic Designers and Illustrators (CAGDI).

Loucia Serghiou

Loucia Serghiou (b. 1984) is a mosaic artist based in Nicosia, Cyprus. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Nottingham Trent University, UK, and specialized in mosaic at the Mosaic School of Friuli in Italy. Since 2020, she has run her studio in Strovolos, creating works that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary expression. Drawing from Roman, Byzantine, and modern mosaic styles, she experiments with form and material to navigate personal mindscapes. Her work explores mosaic as a contemplative medium—one that dissolves boundaries between self, time, and place while inviting reflection and connection.

Anna Stroulia

Anna Stroulia is an Athens and Pelion-based visual artist, researcher and initiator. Her practice explores environmental interconnectedness, the symbiosis of technological and traditional tools and the creation of symbolic systems, codes and alphabets. Her current research investigates the intersections of contemporary art, traditional craftsmanship and communal rituals in a post-colonial perspective.

She is founder and artistic director of ististist.project a multidisciplinary artistic platform, focusing on the interaction of art and education and the correlation between artistic creation, research and knowledge.

Manuna Grabarnick

Manuna Grabarnick (b. 1990, Siberia, Russia) is a multidisciplinary artist exploring gender freedom, body autonomy, and the fluidity of identity. Employing mixed media she uses layering and speculative scientific imagery to create thought-provoking compositions. Her recent projects include participation in Cyprus Art Week (2025), the Get Art Fit Art Residency (2024), and the Art Calendar: Chislenichek (2023). Earlier, she took part in the exhibition Consciousness of the Unconscious (2020). A graduate of the Siberian Federal University (2013) and The University of Melbourne’s Sexing the Canvas course (2021), she now lives in Cyprus, exploring women’s corporeality in her art.

Metatttron

My name is Constantinos, and for the past decade I have worked as a tattoo artist under the name Metatttron, focusing on geometric and optical illusion styles. The core concept behind my art is to challenge the notion that “what you see is what you get.”

Combining my background in Computer Science with explorations across different artistic domains, I aim to show that perception is not fixed but shaped by the mind’s ability to interpret itself and its surroundings.

Through high-contrast black and white, repeated shapes, patterns, and motifs, I create works that seem to move while remaining still or shift depending on the viewer’s distance.

My goal is to spark wonder and encourage introspection, inviting viewers to expand their field of consciousness. By looking deeper within, awareness grows, leading to wisdom, transformation, and ultimately a better world.

Fotini Michailidi

Fotini Michailidi is a visual artist exploring themes of embodiment, memory, identity, and disability through painting and installation. Living with myopathy and an active member of the Cyprus Myopathy Association, she creates work that challenges societal perceptions of disability and visibility, advocating inclusivity.

Julie & Stelios

Julie is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in psychology and art therapy based in Cyprus. She is interested in artistic practices involving analogue mediums, experimental photography, natural elements, connections and what often goes unnoticed.

Stelios Antoniou aka @steliospace (b.1995 in Paralimni, Cyprus) is a multidisciplinary musician, sound artist, producer, improviser and educator currently based in Paralimni, Cyprus. His work encompasses acoustic percussion/ drums, analog electronics, heavy fundamental rhythms, improvisation and distractive sonic sounds.

Olympia Petrou

Olympia Petrou is a Cyprus-based filmmaker, event producer & visual storyteller exploring presence, awareness & the spaces where creativity meets connection. Her work moves through film, photography & collective experience, guided by curiosity. Through her lens, she captures moments where identity softens, awareness deepens & the human experience unfolds in its raw form. Her broader vision, Fluid Form ♃, is a platform dedicated to presence, empathy & dialogue. A space for exploring what it means to be fully human.

Despina Theocharidou

Despina Theocharidou (b. 1987, Sofia, Bulgaria) is an interdisciplinary Cypriot artist based in Nicosia. Her practice spans painting, video and digital media, with narrative at its core. She studied in Sofia, Strasbourg and Athens (National Academy of Fine Arts, ESAD, AKTO) and spent a decade in advertising as a creative, forging a hybrid language bridging fine art and popular culture. In 2025, influenced by shifting priorities and the realities of chronic illness she devoted herself fully to her artistic practice. Combining classical and digital techniques, she uses language to translate memory, trauma and identity into shared experience.

Anna Michaelidiou

Anna Michaelidou is a fashion and textile designer and founder of yiavrimou, a brand rooted in sustainability, upcycling, and storytelling. Her work draws on Cypriot heritage, exploring themes of memory, tradition, and the handmade, with a strong focus on reworking existing garments into new narratives. By combining contemporary design with cultural references, she highlights the value of craft and the emotional resonance of clothing. Anna graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and completed an internship at Ronald van der Kemp’s Amsterdam atelier, where she deepened her commitment to sustainable and expressive fashion practices.

Charalambia Egglezou

Charalambia Englezou is a new media artist based in Cyprus. Her practice focuses on interactive artworks and tangible objects created through DIY processes and modern fabrication technologies. Using technology as both medium and metaphor, she explores human perception and the ways people engage with the digital and physical world. Her works invite reflection and critical engagement, bridging the digital and the material through playful and interactive experiences. Active globally in exhibitions and festivals, Englezou combines experimentation with technology, materials and interactivity to question contemporary culture and the human experience.

Violeta & Roshni

We are an artist duo made up of Roshni Kavate (India/US) and Violeta Ortega Navarrete (Mexico). Our work is focused on the recognition of the ancestral knowledge of non-dominant cultures and their languages ​​as possibilities in healing the consequences of the forms of capitalism.

These languages ​​are sometimes developed as processes, in our case, like the slow processes of creating textiles that give substance to events that do not have it, and have the power to restructure/heal it.

As artists hailing from ancestral and indigenous cultures from India and Mexico, we are innovating a new language and medium through our art that unites our bodies, memories, and environment.

Through our practice we reclaim the act of textile making as a form of archive memories, healing, self care and community building. We use ancestral techniques like weaving, dyeing with natural materials like indigo and marigold plants and using handwoven textiles and materials like foraged seaweed and local wool or recycled and natural materials.

Lyudmyla Africanu

My compelling lyrics embodies unselfing through storytelling. It is a journey through sound and awakening — a path from thought to pure feeling. Unselfing lives in every beat, every breath between words.
Through every song I translate personal transformation into rhythm and word, inviting listeners to recognize themselves beyond the self. The Code Word series follows this unfolding — the moment when noise turns to stillness and awareness begins to sing. My art invites listeners to return to the heart of being, where presence is vast, and everything is connected.

Panayiotis Pasantas

Panayiotis Pasantas studied Sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Professor Theodoros Papagiannis, graduating with distinction. From 1997 to 2003, he was a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).

He lives and works in Nicosia, where he runs his personal studio. His practice centers on sculpture, exploring the dialogue between form, space, and memory, seeking a balance between the tangible and the poetic — creating forms that invite reflection, silence, and emotional resonance.

Maria Mitsi

ΜΙΤΣΙ is a Cypriot multidisciplinary artist and VJ based in Berlin, working at the intersection of real-time visuals, digital scenography, performance, and theatre. Her immersive practice blends technology, organic elements, and body-based media. Her style evolves from dark, raw underground aesthetics to vibrant compositions, exploring surrealism and the space between the natural and the digital, with an international presence in exhibitions, festivals, music events, and mainly the techno scene.

Iacovos Loizou – Mr.Kok

Iacovos Loizou is an artist, researcher, and urban planner whose work has been exhibited in Cyprus, the Netherlands, Poland, Greece, and Japan. He runs his own art studio in Kaimakli, contributes as a researcher at the University of Cyprus, and is a co-founder of OPU Collective (Organization for Positive Urbanism). @opu_collective is a platform dedicated to rethinking urban and cultural development through creative, collaborative, and interdisciplinary approaches to create more inclusive and sustainable cities.

His artistic practice explores new forms of expression, often portraying animals and fantastical creatures infused with sharp social commentary and humour. At the centre of his work stands Mr. Kok, a wandering penguin whose adventures pay homage to the traditional Cypriot dessert “kok,” reimagined with wit and imagination.

Andreas Kountoureshis

Born in 1992, Andreas Kountoureshis is a Greek-Cypriot artist from Nicosia, Cyprus. After four years of studies in Scotland’s Grays School of Art, 2017 saw him return to his homeland to further pursue his artistic journey. As of then, he maintains a studio space in Nicosia, where he constantly works on evolving his distinguishing, sharp mark.

From drawings to oil paintings, the works broaden to a scope of themes, addressing the philosophical, rhetorical, and metaphysical aspects of life, where the rays of the sun meet the abyss of thought.

Each artwork aims to create different queries to the viewer. On the borderline of reality and fiction, the scale of the elements is left open for balance.

Michalis Pantelidis

Michalis Pantelidis (Nicosia, 1993) is a Cypriot Textiles Designer. He graduated from the University of the West of England in Bristol. During his studies, he interned at the atelier of Iris Van Herpen and Ronald Van Der Kemp in Amsterdam, where he gained experience in couture. He also worked with Dutch artists “Dutch Igloo”, where he experimented with photography, digital editing, and intricate handwork. In 2021, he launched his own brand which combines his love for textiles, photography, and art. His first project is called “The land of Decomposition” which explores alternative ways of understanding the idea of value by turning trash into colorful and joyful scarves.
